Brendan Flattery, CEO, Sage UK

Brendan Flattery joined Sage in 2003, and during his time at Sage he has been Managing Director for the Accountants Division, Mid-Market Division and Managing Director for the Small Business Division. He became CEO of Sage UK in January 2011.

Brendan originates from the North West of England, and holds a geography degree. After University, he qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG.

For the last 20 years Brendan has worked in commercial roles, working for a number of public and privately owned companies in a variety of industries. Between 1997 and 2003 he was Managing Director of two VC backed IT businesses, before joining Sage in 2003.

Jayne Archbold, MD, Mid-Market Division

Jayne joined Sage in 1997 starting her career in Small Business Division where she held a number of roles over a 10 year period, this included Head of Sales and Head of Commercial Marketing.

Jayne then joined Mid Market as General Manager of HR, Payroll and Outsourcing in 2008. This was a new role as a result of the acquisitions of KCS and Snowdrop and subsequently in October 2009 took up the post as Managing Director of Sage's Accountants Division. She then took up her current role in the Mid-Market Division in August 2011.

Ian Clarke, Sage Research and Development Director

Ian is the Sage Research and Development Director, accountable for the technology strategy and long-term product direction for the UK and Ireland region.  He has over 25 years' experience in the software industry all of which has been spent in software development.

Ian has held leadership positions at GEC, Thorn EMI as well as operating at board level in a number of UK based software houses.

Ian has a passion for doing what's right for the customer and ensuring technology is clearly focused on solving real world customer problems. As a technology industry adviser, Ian sits on the Technical Committee run by the IT Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.
