We have a winner #BagYourselfaBillboard

Our recent research showed that promoting a business was the top concern for start-ups and small businesses so we recently ran a competition for one business to have their own billboard designed by a London advertising agency and placed in East London’s bustling Tech City for two weeks.

We received almost 100 entries and Gather.ly, an online magazine for creatives, was our choice to appear on its own 160 square metre billboard, at a prime spot in Old Street.  They will have the advertising space designed and created by award-winning agency OgilvyOne as well being given 1,000,000 online ad impressions, giving them a national platform to promote their business.

Gather.ly  won by submitting a 60-second ‘elevator pitch’ video to the competition website which was voted on by the public and whittled down to one by a panel of our experts.

Their billboard will be in place for two weeks from 16th June to 29th June  2014.

“We loved Gather.ly’s pitch to bag a billboard and look forward to hearing all about how it’s helping their business to grow and reach new customers. We were delighted by the response to this campaign; each and every entry was impressive and we’re just disappointed that we can’t give them all similar opportunities.” Paul Cairney, Head of Brand Marketing, Sage UK Limited.

    Who were the runners up?

  • Alex Wilkes

Is there any information about the runners-up?

  • Dr. Gaius Macbey

Great competition and some interesting entries. The winner’s video really was first class – however when you have ten shareholders and are capitalised at 500k and have film makers on your book I’m guessing it always would be. Unlikely to project them to the next level – they look like they are already there.
