Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Doing our bit
We know that being a responsible business isn't just about
ticking boxes and writing cheques for worthy charities (although
that does help!).
We feel it's about doing the right thing, in the right way with
everything we do. So our passion is summed up as doing the right
thing for our people, our customers, our local communities and the
environment.
We do this in a number of ways, from recycling across all
our sites to just generally having fun with our people to raise
money for charity.
We know we're not perfect and we can always do more, which is
why we commit to improving and enhancing what we do to become a
truly responsible business every year.
We have a team dedicated to working alongside our people and
with other organisations with the sole purpose of improving what we
do and how we do it.

We work with many organisations right across the UK such as:
Business in the Community (BITC), local Education Business
Partnerships (EBPs), Young Enterprise North East, Cancer Research
UK, Community Foundation Funds and the CBI, to name but a few.
We've also won some awards, which include:
- Best Community Spirit at the World Awards in 2006
- North East Team Leader of the Year 2006
- North East Team of the Year 2007
- North East Volunteer of the Year 2007
- North East Volunteer of the Year 2008
