A word from our MD
"The single biggest thing we can
collectively do is to use our will and endeavour as people who
care.
"We care about Sage, we care about our
colleagues, we care about our customers, and we care about being
responsible.
"If we were to put every ounce of spare
effort we have into thinking about CSR we can make a massive
difference to the communities in which we live and work and our
responsibilities to our customers and suppliers.
"Years ago people were thinking of CSR as
something ‘different’, I don't think that's the case now, CSR and
business are completely interlinked."

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
We believe that being a responsible business and committing to
Corporate Social Responsibility isn’t just about giving money away
and getting involved in loads of stuff (although we know this helps
sometimes). Actually, what we really care about is doing the right
things, at the right time, in the right way, and that acting
responsibly isn't something we just talk about or do from time to
time, it’s a way of life.
We're committed to our people and their
development; to our customers and the suppliers who work with us to
help serve them better, and to the communities and the environment
around us.
Whilst we have dedicated resource to help shape and direct our
CSR initiatives, they're often driven by our people because it
matters to them that we care.
So whether they're helping us to support charitable events,
volunteering in the community, coming up with new ways to be
'greener' or living and breathing our guiding principles of
simplicity, agility, innovation, trust and integrity, it's our
people who put our responsibilities into action.
The ways we act now, and the actions we take to improve our
approach to CSR in the future, are constantly evolving to
ultimately make us a truly responsible
business.
How we live and breathe our business
To help people understand what it is we do and
to celebrate some of the highlights of the last year, we've brought
them together in our Corporate Social Responsibility Report for
2009.
It's been another packed year for us, and we hope you enjoy the
report and the insight it gives into us here at Sage.
